自家製3Dプリントプロジェクト
FOCAスクリューをMマウントに変換するマウントアダプターです。
各メーカのミラーレスカメラのマウントにMマウントヘリコイド/AFアダプター専用を介して装着できます。
このレンズには、ヘリコイドがありません。Mマウントアダプターですが、ヘリコイド付きアダプターや、AF付きアダプターで使用が前提と作っています。ヘリコイド付きアダプターの繰り出しでピントを合わせる事ができます。
オールドレンズの澤村さんからのオーダーで作りました。

装着はねじ込み式です。
アダプターの厚みは薄いので、いつものMの金属フランジではなく、L-Mリングをベースに作りました。
３Dプリンターの出力部品はM39が切ってありますが、強度確保のため組み込み時に接着してあります。
↑Sigma fpとOPLAREX 5cm/1.9。ヘリコイド付きアダプターで装着しました。このようにヘリコイド付きアダプターやAFアダプターがあれば各種ミラーレスカメラに装着出来ます。
注意事項
アダプターはMマウントで作ってありますが、このレンズはM型ライカに装着しないでください。
OPLAREX 5cm/1.9は沈胴式レンズです。
ライカの沈胴レンズと違い、鏡胴部分が太くて沈胴させると、ライカの距離計のコロに当たってしまいます。沈胴のロックも無いので、そのまま仕舞うと距離計を壊してしまう可能性もあります。
ライカMとの組み合わせは、ダメ、ゼッタイです。

自家製3Dプリントプロジェクトとは、3Dプリンターで出力した成果物を商品とする実験的な販売です。商品はご注文を受けてからの製造となります。
素材はABSというプラスチック樹脂です。精度はそこそこ出ていますが、仕上げという意味では3Dプリンター出力の仕上がりです。プリントの向きによりきれいな面と荒れた面があります。プラモ作成など腕に自信のあるお客様は仕上げにチャレンジするのも良いかと思います。
ABS、素材に粘りがあり強度もあります。出力精度の高いZ-ABS v2という素材を使用しています。
Mマウント部分は金属のフランジをを使用しております。
金属とABS樹脂のハイブリット構造です。
大量生産の製品ではないのであまり安くは作れませんが、1個から製造することが出来るのでニッチな商品を提供することが出来ます。

貴重なレンズをお借りして、澤村さんからのオーダーで作りました。
先回、ロボットロイヤルでLMリングをベースにアダプター作っていたので、ご依頼を頂いた時にこれは行けると思い取り掛かりましたが。
これがなんとも手強いマウントでした。
Focaスクリューは36mmほど経でのピッチ0.75のでした。それをLマウントの39ミリの中に入れるので、
ネジ山の寸法を差し引くと余裕はほぼない状態でした。
3DCADで図面は掛けるのですが、縦方向に0.5以下の厚みチューブをプリントは難しく、3Dプリンターのスライスソフトでは無いものされてしまい、上下分断されてしまったのです。
ねじ込みをキツくしたり細かい調整繰り返して試作を重ねました。
幸いフランジバックの差が3ミリ程もあり、その厚み分でFOCAのスクリューを切りました。

組み上げ時にはLMリングと接着しています。
ねじ込みの深さはたっぷりはとれませんでしたが、このレンズのネジが思いの外浅かったので完成することが出来ました。

FOCA Screw Mount to Leica M Mount Adapter
This is a custom adapter for using FOCA screw-mount lenses with Leica M mount helicoid or AF adapters.
The FOCA screw mount is an unusual French lens mount. This adapter converts it to Leica M mount, allowing the lens to be used with a Leica M helicoid or AF adapter and, through that intermediate mount, with a wide range of modern mirrorless cameras.
The adapter was originally developed at the request of a customer.
One of the lenses used for development was the OPLAREX 5cm f/1.9.
This was a particularly challenging adapter to design because the FOCA screw thread is approximately 36 mm in diameter with a 0.75 mm pitch, leaving very little space when it is incorporated into a 39 mm Leica screw-mount ring.
The wall of the 3D-printed section had to be extremely thin. During development, sections less than approximately 0.5 mm thick were difficult to reproduce reliably with the 3D printer, and the slicing software sometimes removed the thin sections completely.
The design therefore went through repeated prototypes, adjusting the thread dimensions and fit until a practical solution was achieved.
The adapter is based on an L39-to-Leica M ring, rather than the thicker M mount flange normally used for muk adapters. The 3D-printed FOCA screw section is bonded into the ring to provide sufficient strength.
The final adapter is intentionally very thin, but the flange-back difference provided enough space to accommodate the FOCA screw thread.
This project is a good example of why some unusual lens mounts require individual mechanical design rather than a simple off-the-shelf adapter.

Important Compatibility Warning
Although this adapter uses the Leica M mount, do not mount the OPLAREX 5cm f/1.9 directly on a Leica M camera.
The OPLAREX is a collapsible lens, but its lens barrel is larger than the collapsible Leica lenses for which Leica M cameras were designed. When collapsed, the barrel can interfere with the rangefinder mechanism and potentially damage the camera.
The adapter is therefore intended for use with an appropriate Leica M helicoid or AF adapter, not directly on a Leica M camera body.
